Christian Women's Small Business Association

Today I really got to meet some amazing women. I joined this group for networking and making friends. Well, both were accomplished. I've been searching for an opportunity to get back into Marketing and Public Relations, and God may have just opened the door for me to do that. As my new friend Natalie calls it, we had a "God" - incident. =) Who knew? WOW!!!! That's all I have to say.

I have been an Cosmetologist for the last two and a half years, and when you are already burned out this early in the career, my guess would be that well, it's just not what I'm suppose to be doing. I love Business. I was born to be a Business woman. Everyday at work I take over doing little tasks around the salon that I see need to get done. I even try different ways to market myself. Well, when you don't want to be doing what you're doing, it's hard to get motivated to promote yourself.

Today's meeting really inspired me. I just happen to meet another girl who just graduated with her Business degree in Marketing and Public Relations as well. She's looking to branch out and do freelance work, and has asked me to join in. Hopefully, everything will fall into place. I pray it does. I'm so excited about meeting up with her next Thursday. I will be keeping everyone posted on what will be taking place.

I just want to thank God for moving me to San Antonio, Texas. This is where I'm meant to be right now. I have finally found a church that I will be calling home. I am starting to network with other business women, and I'm making more and more friends the more I branch out!

Seeing as this is my first time to blog, I hope that you will be patient with me! My goal is to not only keep my friends and family informed on what I'm doing in the great state of Texas, but to also grow and learn more about blogging. I hope to write articles for other companies around the city, whether it be blogging, news releases, or magazines. So, here's to another new adventure in the city of San Antonio!
